Throughout the cold season, your roof has faced extreme temperatures, heavy snowfalls, drizzle and a succession of freeze-thaw cycles. The cold season is often a challenge for a roof, so spring is ideal to consider regular boulder commercial roofing maintenance. The entire surface of the roof has to be checked thoroughly and, if necessary, you will have to also fix problems that may have occurred in recent months.
Many problems can be detected by simply inspecting the overall appearance of the roof.
If you spot the following signs, you need to be aware that they will cause problems soon, so do not postpone the repairs!
· Loose or visible nails
· Cracked, raised or deformed shingles
· Ventilation problems
· Loose or missing shingles
· Loss of shingle granulation
· Sealing problems
· Damaged flashing
· Clogged or damaged rainwater drainage system
· Problems with the structure of the roof (dry rot is an extremely serious threat to wooden structures and, if you face it, you must consider renovating your roof ASAP).
Also, if the roof is made of a material prone to vegetation growth, spring may be the ideal time to clean the roof and treat it to prevent algae or moss stains.
Allow an expert roofer to do a thorough inspection of your roof and offer you a written report.
